The eighth edition of Armchair’s ACC Football Power Rankings, as voted on by our ACC writers!

1. ClemsonClemson

Record: 7-0

Last Week: Bye Week

Next Week: @ FSU

The Tigers got a week to rest and are back on the road in Tallahassee this week. This will be a big win for this team for their push into a playoff spot.

2. Louisvillelousiville-2

Record: 6-1

Last Week: 54-13 over NC State

Next Week: @ Virginia

Louisville is in cruise control right now, with some easier ACC competition and a Lamar Jackson who seems to never get tired of scoring. Don’t be surprised to see another 4 TD game out of Jackson this week.

3. North CarolinaUNC

Record: 6-2

Last Week: 35-14 over Virginia

Next Week: Bye Week

It took a bit, but the Heels finally got rolling against UVA last week and showed off that high power offense. Trubisky continues to show off how great he is. This will be a much needed week of rest for this squad, as they continue to fight for an ACC Championship bid.

4. Virginia TechVT

Record: 5-2

Last Week: 37-16 over Miami

Next Week: @ Pitt

The Hokies are a good team, despite how much skepticism they’ve faced. They made Miami look pretty bad last week and will be looking for another big conference win at Pitt this week to further solidify themselves in the Coastal division.

5. Pittpitt

Record: 5-2

Last Week: Bye Week

Next Week: vs. Virginia Tech

The Panthers have a big chance to shake things up this week. With this win, they could pull into the sole #2 spot in the Coastal, so we’ll see if they show up to play. Look for James Connor to play both sides of the ball and wreak some havoc on the Va Tech’s lines.

6. Florida StateFSU

Record: 5-2

Last Week: 17-6 over Wake Forest

Next Week: vs. Clemson

FSU is back on track with two wins in a row and could really shake up the entirety of college football with a win this week. Don’t count them out, this could be the upset of the week.

7. Wake Forestwf

Record: 5-2

Last Week: 17-6 loss to FSU

Next Week: vs. Army

The Demon Deacons narrowly lost a big game to Florida State, but are still quietly a two loss team. They’re going to need some big wins to pull things up though and Army isn’t quite big enough.

8. SyracuseSyracuse

Record: 4-4

Last Week: 28-20 over Boston College

Next Week: Bye Week

Eric Dungey is one heck of a quarterback. Other than that, this team needs to pick it up on defense. They’ve won two games in a row, so that catapults them above the rest of the lower half of the ACC.

9. Miamimiami

Record: 4-3

Last Week: 37-16 loss to Va Tech

Next Week: @ Notre Dame

Wow. This team was #10 in the nation not too long ago and things have really taken a turn for the worse. With a loss this week to ND, they could really just sink into the depths of college football.

10. Georgia Techgeorgia-tech

Record: 4-3

Last Week: Bye Week

Next Week: vs. Duke

This has been a fairly quiet and abysmal season for Georgia Tech, but they’ve got a chance over the next few weeks to create some shake up in the standings.

11. DukeDuke

Record: 3-4

Last Week: Bye week

Next Week: @ Georgia Tech

Maybe a week of rest will turn them into a good team. They’re going to need to beat GT this week if they want to be considered a respectable team, at this point.

12. NC StateNC State

Record: 4-3

Last Week: 54-13 loss to Louisville

Next Week: vs. Boston College

Well they almost beat Clemson… and then Lamar Jackson happened. Tough loss for the Wolfpack. Really tough.

13. VirginiaUVA helmet

Record: 2-5

Last Week: 35-14 loss to UNC

Next Week: vs. Louisville

It’s been a tough season as a whole for Virginia, but they put up a good fight against UNC for the first three quarters. Potential is there for this team, but it’s going to take time.

14. Boston CollegeBC

Record: 3-4

Last Week: 28-20 loss to Syracuse

Next Week: @ NC State

Well that was probably their best chance for a win in the ACC this season. Pack up your bags, BC fans, it’s been 12 losses in a row and it’s only going to get worse.
