It’s not been the ideal start for the Philadelphia 76ers, who are 6-5 just 11 games into the season.

Their most disturbing performance came on Nov. 4 on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.

After holding the Nets to 18 points in the first quarter, they gave up at least 30 points every quarter on the way to losing, 122-97.

Unfortunately, it’s just another disappointing game on the road.

Not even close

The 76ers are struggling to be just competitive when not playing at home in the Wells Fargo Center.

They have lost all five of their road games and have lost four of them by at least 15 points.

The two biggest reasons for their struggles have to be their shooting and turnovers. Once again, the team continues to shoot poorly from the outside. Against the Nets, the team shot 4-for-20 from three.

Joel Embiid only attempted eight shots and the entire 76ers team committed 27 turnovers.

That’s a recipe for disaster. The Sixers can’t beat any team in the NBA playing that type of basketball.

It’s stating the obvious, but they must figure out how to play on the road if they are going to remain a top-three seed in the Eastern Conference.

They face a tough test tonight on the road at the Indiana Pacers.
