The confusion of a team called the Tennessee Titans head to Houston to take on the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. The Texans are riding a seven game win streak after starting out 0-3 and have taken a stronghold on the AFC South in the process.

Their defense has started to tighten down the hatches and elevated their play during their current winning streak. Their offense has fed off the energy of that defense and stepped up a bit accordingly. They’ve scored over 40 points twice, but only eclipsed 20 points three times. Room to improve, but at least still getting some of the job done after many questioned the offense’s efficiency.

The Titans haven’t been as lucky this year. Nobody knows what to make of this team and it’s already Week 12 of the season. One minute this team is firing on all cylinders and beating quality opponents. The next minute, the whole team looks like they’re in shambles. No one knows what to expect from this team week in and week out, so predicting a Titans win sounds like a lot of trouble. What we can do is give out ways the Titans can win.

1. Roll Offense Roll

This is by far the most important thing for the Titans to do in order to secure a win on the road in prime time. As we all know, this offense is pitiful coming in at 30th in the league in total offense. Even worse? This offense is only averaging only 17.8 points per game. In a pass happy league where offenses are getting more explosive by the year, you’d expect the Titans to have a better offense than this.

As you can see, that isn’t the case. The running game has been inconsistent, the offensive line has been at its worst since 2015, and receivers simply aren’t making enough plays. If the Titans can’t get this offense going against this Texans defense, they’ll most likely see their playoff hopes crash and burn.

2. Force Turnovers on Defense

This key just seems so simple since it’s repeated probably every day to an NFL defense. Forcing turnovers is key in this league because well, you set your offense up and you don’t allow any points. Pretty damn simple to figure out right? Thing is, this Titans defense doesn’t force many turnovers. In fact, the Titans are 21st in the league in turnover differential at -3, forcing only nine turnovers on the year. This defense is vulnerable in some spots. If the Titans can’t force any turnovers, those struggle spots will be exploited and will be exploited heavily.

3. Keep the Monday Night Luck Alive

The Titans last played on Monday Night Football three weeks ago as they dismantled the Dallas Cowboys 28-14. That win was just a fraction of the recent success the Titans have had on Monday Night Football in recent years.

Keep that going and the Titans are staring at a big win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

This team has to find some sort of consistency starting tonight. It wont be easy at all. The Texans are rolling and feeling good, and the home town crowd will some juice going in prime time so it should be a great atmosphere. Titans have to settle that noisy crowd down early and just come out with the win, easy. Do I believe it will happen? Unfortunately, no. Texans win 28-10.
