14 TCU vs. Baylor – Series Recap 5/13-15/16

Baylor defeats TCU in a battle of a series winning two out of the three games.

  • Game 1: Baylor won 4 to 3.
  • Game 2: Baylor won 8 to 5
  • Game 3: TCU won 7 to 3.

  • Runs: Luken Baker with 3 runs scored.
  • RBIs: Tie between Dane Steinhagen and Mason Hesse with 3 RIBs.

Baylor team leaders in the series:

  • Hits: Tie between Steven McLean and Matt Menard with 5 hits.
  • Runs: Steven McLean with 4 runs scored.
  • RBIs: Matt Menard with 4 RBIs.

Heading into the series, TCU was the heavy favorite. The prediction made was a Horned Frog sweep. Despite being the underdog, Baylor battled with TCU in Waco to win the series 2 games to 1. It was a shocker for both fan bases. Going into the series, TCU was ranked 14th nationally with an overall recored of 33-12. On the other hand, Baylor came into the series with an overall recored of 20-25. The series had some conference impact moving TCU to third place and Baylor to ninth place in the Big 12 rankings.
